The AhlulBayt (AS) World Assembly Statement on Condemnation of Saudi Invasion of Yemen
In the name of Allah, the compassionate the merciful
While Yemen's people, tribes and groups with their exemplary unity are trying to reclaim their stolen revolution and establish a democratic government, a coalition of reactionary regimes, led by Saudi Arabia, launches a wave of air strikes against defenseless people of this country.
The attack happened just after the attacks on Yemen's Friday prayer by Takfiri terrorists who are the mercenaries of these countries. So hundreds of Yemen civilians injured and martyred in the attack.
This blindly aggression, which is psychologically supported by some opportunistic countries in the region and the West, cannot solve the problems of the world domineering powers, but instead it only cause killing of innocent people and destruction of another country.
The AhlulBayt (AS) World Assembly, as an international NGO with hundreds of elite members from the Muslims around the world, offers its sincere condolences to the family of Yemeni martyrs and wishes recovery to the wounded, and then draws your attention to the following points:
1- As Imam Khamenei has said before the waves of Islamic awaking sweeping the region. These waves included Yemen's uprising which is based on the revival of Islamic values. This uprising has all the things that are necessary for the growth of a revolutionary movement, like: being Islamic, national and popular, having a sober leadership, supporting by both Shia and Sunni scholars and the unity of all parties, groups and tribes in Yemen, from Saada in the north to Sana'a and Aden in the center and south.
2- This popular uprising was against a corrupt government and oppressive regime that for decades had nothing for the Yemenis except oppression, poverty and economic deprivation. And now, its resigned president despite widespread support from the aliens could not remain in his position and eventually was forced to flee the country.
3- World domineering powers, Zionism and Arabs once again in response to this blessed uprising have started their destructive acts. Now, for the several times they want to repeat their common scenario in Yemen and are trying to use military means and terrorism for returning the corrupt government to the power.
4- Killing the innocent people of Yemen is a blatant violation for the nation who wants to take the helm of their country and not to be dependent on other countries, including neighboring or other countries in the world. So, this scenario against the people of Yemen is doomed to failure as it was unsuccessful in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine.
5- Al Saud by this attack will not reach its expected goals. They also sent troops to Bahrain four years ago; they occupied the country, but were they able to silence the voice of the people?
6- Bombing innocent people of Yemen, by America donated F16s, and destroying the infrastructures of the country -for the benefit of Israel- is the only achievement for the attackers. But this aggression which is providing America's interests and serves the Zionist is not the end, and we will see Insha'Allah how the zealous people of Yemen will regret the attackers by their fighting against enemies.
7- At this time the strangest thing is the action of some Arab and Muslim countries who send their forces to kill their Yemeni brothers. Al Saud while protecting themselves and their children in luxurious palaces sends its people to death in an unfruitful war.
8- AhlulBayt (AS) World Assembly strongly condemns Al Saud and its allies for attacking people of Yemen and urges them to immediately put an end to this barbaric genocide.
9- The Assembly also urges all freedom-loving people all over the world not to remain indifferent to the fate of Yemen's people and wants them to eradicate such bloody interventions by condemning this attack and pressuring the UN Security Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League and all international institutions.
10- At the end it is essential to say that this war despite all destructions could be a great opportunity for people of Yemen and bring them unity. By taking advantage of this opportunity they can reach a comprehensive political solution for their national unity and territorial integrity without the need for any external interference in its affairs.
